March 1 National Day of Action a success

Day of ActionSub-zero weather and biting cold winds were not enough to stop USGE members from stepping away from their desk on March 1 to protest the upcoming slashing of public services.

Over 200 members stood outside 340 Laurier Street in Ottawa, chanting slogans and letting the Conservative government know that their cuts will have devastating repercussions on families and communities across Canada.

Included were members from across Canada attending the PSST training!

Our message sent to the government was quite clear: we would step out regardless of the weather to stand up for public services.

Reports are currently trickling in on other successful rallies across the country.

USGE is proud of its members who, as usual, showed their union spirit by answering the calls of its sisters and brothers. You truly are what makes us strong!

Were you there? Did you record the event? If so, send us your photos and we'll be thrilled to post them.
