Take your lunch outside on March 1, 2012

Does the prospect of losing your job bother you? What about severe cuts to your hard-earned pension while MPs' pensions keep growing and growing?

Reckless cuts to all public services relied on by Canadians are expected in the upcoming Conservative budget. This budget, also known as the 'austerity plan', will have a devastating impact on all Canadians.

Now is the time to stand up against these cuts! USGE is strongly recommending that our members spend their lunch on March 1 away from their desks and away from their worksite. The message we send to this government needs to be clear, that we will not lay down and let them run roughshod over the public services we, as USGE members and public servants, provide to the Canadian public on a daily basis.

The PSAC Regional Offices can be contacted for stickers, buttons, flags, plant-gating leaflets and information about bigger rallies that our members can join.

On March 1 at noon, we ask that you rally your co-workers and get outside. Join the thousands of other employees of the public service in a strong show of solidarity and let the Conservative government know that enough is enough.
