Information for Civilians Members
Open Letter - updated from USGE's National President and Vice-President
The long process of converting Civilian Members of the RCMP to public servants is finally nearing an end. It has been a frustrating road at times over the past many years, but we are relieved to know that this episode will reach its conclusion on Thursday April 26th, 2018, when deeming will take place.
We are certain that you will have many questions about how this process will unfold over the coming months. Rest assured that we are working hard to gather as much information as we can so that we can help make this transition as smooth as possible for you. We will be updating this website with new information as we receive it.
We look forward to speaking with you directly to answer any of your questions about USGE or the conversion process. As a national union that represents 5,000 RCMP employees, we have representatives who live and work in your area. If you'd like to discuss any of your thoughts or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact your USGE Regional Vice President.
